Find & Conquer Your ‘Danger Zone’
We all have certain times during the day where we are more vulnerable to overeating or non-hunger eating. When is that time for you? Some are most vulnerable during the two o’clock hour (otherwise known as the ‘Two o’clock Slump’), while others struggle with late-night eating. Identify your ‘Danger Zone’ and make a plan to fill that time with a more suitable activity. Ask yourself “what do I really need right now?” If you usually eat to cope with your Two o’clock Slump, chances are you are trying to prevent yourself from falling asleep! Start a new habit of taking a brisk walk around the office to get your blood pumping and your energy level back up. Or how about making a nice hot cup of green tea? Before you know it, eating to ‘stay awake’ will feel weird!
